One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:
20th Century Fox Domestic Home Entertainment is currently conducting a search for a Financial Analyst with GAAP Accounting skills to support the home video and digital distribution arm of the 20th Century Fox film studio in the United States and Canada. Our products include: DVD, BRD, PPV, VOD, DHD and VRE. Home Entertainment is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, organized Accountant to join its Domestic Accounting team. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Manager on the following P&L and Balance Sheet tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Record month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries.
• Compose supporting schedules for corporate financial reporting.
• Prepare account and system reconciliations.
• Compile information for monthly sales tax reports for the Tax Department.
• Track and record weekly bank deposits.
• Perform exchange rate, joint venture, distributor, and marketing analysis.
• Work on ad-hoc projects presented by department and management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, is preferred
• 1 to 3 years minimum Accounting experience, GAAP Accounting
• Previous experience JD Edwards or Financial CRM reporting, highly desired
• Must be proficient in Excel – Pivot Tables, V & H LookUp, If etc.
• Must have experience creating PowerPoint presentations
• Must have high attention to detail and organization
• Strong, professional written and communication skills, is essential
• Problem solver, with an analytical mindset
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects
• Quick learner who is both motivated to work independently as well as a team player
• Able to prioritize, work efficiently, meet deadlines and be pro-active
