OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY20th Century Fox
One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Fire Safety Officer – 20th Century Fox Studios
Position: Fire Safety Officer (part time/on call – 8hr shifts/no benefits)
Testing Agency: 20th Century FOX Studios Fire Department
This position is an ON CALL position requiring weekly check-ins to receive schedule for the following week based on your stated availability. Shifts are 8 hours minimum and can sometimes run longer if in production. The position is part-time (approximately 3 shifts per week) but can occasionally have fulltime hours. You must be able to report at regular intervals in order to remain listed as active. You must live within 60 miles of Fox Studios.
Job Description: Provide fire prevention/suppression activities for motion picture and television productions, including open flame and pyrotechnic stand-by duties, fire inspections, emergency response and other fire department duties as assigned. This position requires physical activity including walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and carrying tools.
Requirements: Must possess a CSFM FF-1 certificate or completion certificate from a CSFM accredited fire academy and current EMT license. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A COMPLETED certificate!
A.S. degree in Fire Science or Fire Tech is highly desirable.
Possession of CSFM Fire Prevention 1A and CSFM Filming in California certificates is desirable. Candidates who do not possess these certificates will be required to complete both within 12 months of employment.
