JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Networks Group (FNG) is currently seeking a Sr. Business Analyst who will work to translate the Ad Sales division President's vision into concrete strategic and operational projects. By gathering data, feedback and insight from across the entire sales organization and creating impactful, data-driven executive presentations, the Sr. Business Analyst will be instrumental in achieving the President’s strategy for disruptive messaging around time and attention in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
• Liaise with sales leadership (EVPs and SVPs), and nearly every team throughout the organization (Finance, HR, Pricing and Inventory, Revenue Analysis, Systems/IT, Non-Linear Ad Ops, Ad Sales Research, Audience & Automation, Marketplace Intelligence, Yield Management, Event Marketing, Global Solutions) to gather requirements, socialize new ideas, source new organizational needs.
• Maintain, refine, improve, operationalize, and evolve pipeline/dashboard focused on ad sales analytical KPIs (Compass) including integration of complex new datasets.
• Develop reporting to meet the needs of the organization created vis a vis Compass to track change over time and usage.
• Manage development of sophisticated, interactive, executive CRM of buy-side media investment decision makers.
• Stress-test and evaluate alternative currencies focused on time and attention; project manage internal and external dashboards codifying and operationalizing new analytical tools to scale across the sales org.
• Constantly keep a pulse on organizational processes, data, projects and identify areas for higher effectiveness/efficiency.
• Evaluate partners and vendors.
• Work with Strategic Communications and Event Marketing to create a data-backed event and hospitality plan to evangelize the company president's disruptive messaging around time and attention in market.
• Reexamine and improve ad sales datasets, including native revenue/delivery across the organization as well as competitive 3rd party data, and maintain their integration in an FNG data warehouse.
• Support the commercialization of new offerings – helping to develop go-to-market strategy, pricing strategy, and communication strategy.
• Support ad hoc requests from sales management/sales leadership answering strategic analytical or research questions related to Compass, new sales governance models, new ad products, and FNG's competitive positioning.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3-5 years related experience, ideally with a background in management or strategy consulting, finance, or corporate development, and experience with large media organizations.
• Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and comfort communicating with and presenting to executives.
• The successful candidate will be a self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a skeptical mind interested in tech/disruption/new ways of thinking.
• Exceptional problem structuring/problem solving skills and comfort working with ambiguity is necessary.
• Experience with financial modeling and big data transformation.
• Experience building presentations independently.
• Product development experience and coding skills (not necessary but helpful).
