Job Description
Sr Lead Analyst – Contract Analysis
This position will be primarily responsible for the negotiation of custom Sales opportunities from the Sales organization. The position requires experience with and knowledge of contract negotiations, contract language creation, project management, custom offer construction, and sales processes. Ideal candidate is detail oriented, skilled negotiator, excellent communicator, and has the desire to work in a fast-paced high pressure environment in support of the sales cycle.
Position Objectives:
• Drive sales opportunities to final contract execution that results in profitable revenue growth for CenturyLink.
• Ensure consistent application of Terms & Conditions in Custom Contracts and related documents.
• Minimize CenturyLink’s Operational and Financial risk exposure in Custom Contracts.
• Build working relationship and trust with Sales Management and Legal.
• Become a knowledge source on process and alternative solutions for solving problems.
Essential Duties:
• Full strategic ownership of contract negotiations and Proposal response
• Negotiate contract terms & conditions with customers
• Develop potential solutions to contract issues.
• Contract language creation and fast turnaround.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Vet custom operational and business commitments with internal organizations.
• Maintain control and progress of contract negotiations, conference calls and documents.
• Focus on process and proactively design ways to improve the process.
• Consult with various internal organizations who also participate in the pricing/contracts process (i.e. Legal, Product Management, Treasury, Finance, Billing, Operations & Engineering)
Required skills:
• Minimal four years’ experience in customer negotiations, business development, and contract drafting or equivalent
• Excellent verbal, written, project management and presentation skills.
• Ability to summarize key contract issues to management.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Computer skills: strong skills on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with sales personnel and customers in person and on conference calls.
• Knowledge of the competitive Telecommunications and Hosting/IT Outsourcing industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Telecom industry experience
• Prior experience negotiating directly with State and Local Governments
• Familiarity with USAC Program requirements
• Prior experience working in support of a large, national sales force
• MBA, JD, paralegal, or contract certification education
• Understanding of financial analysis a plus
