Job Summary:
SapientRazorfish is looking for an Associate Director to join its Data Science practice. Data Sciences is a custom analytics, research and consulting team that delivers data driven strategic marketing insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other DS team members, our clients and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Search, Media, Strategy, User Experience and Technology.
In this role you will execute conceptual models for problem solving in the machine learning realm and help client teams translate goals and objectives into data driven solutions. You are expected to own at least one client (or portion of a large client) end-to-end and to be the data science partner for our client teams. Associate Directors deliver data-driven strategic marketing insights and are expected to assume a high level of accountability for deliverables. Associate Directors are expected to manage their engagements and clearly define project deliverables and timelines. They are supported by analysts.
Core areas of focus for this group includes applications in customer segmentations, media and advertising optimization solutions, developing recommender systems, fraud analytics, personalization systems and forecasting.
Responsibilities (in addition to what’s listed above)
• Perform hands-on analyses on large volumes of transaction, marketing and customer level data
• Manage, execute and deliver analyses such as: advertising performance analysis, website analytics, customer segmentation, survey design and analysis, ROI modeling, lifetime value analysis, cross channel analysis, media mix analysis and brand research
• Package deliverables in an articulate and easy-to-understand fashion with a clear storyline that addresses client business needs
• Support the development of measurement strategies, learning agendas and roadmaps with input from senior team members and internal stakeholders
• Independently deliver results and presentations to internal stakeholders and clients
• Deepen analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills
• Develop subject matter expertise in a domain such as mobile, performance marketing, ecommerce, web analytics or social
• Management/Leadership
• Manage and/or mentor junior team members and provide training, project support and career advice
• Clearly define project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies for junior team members, internal stakeholders and clients
• Work with senior team members to author white papers and other industry thought capital
Experience Requirements:
• B.S/MS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative or computational field
• 6-10 years of work experience in a quantitative business environment
• 4+ years in machine learning or marketing analytics
• Excellent oral and written communication and experience in developing data centered communications with senior clients
• An understanding of methods in machine learning and its applications in customer segmentations, media and advertising optimization solutions, developing recommender systems, fraud analytics, personalization systems and forecasting
• Proven experience managing each phase of the Machine Learning development pipeline, including data transformations, cleaning, pre-processing, model development, testing, validation and deployment
• Experience in statistical programming in Python, R, SAS, SPSS or MATLAB
• Experience in interpreting results of statistical analysis
• Ability to initiate and drive projects from conception to completion with minimal guidance
Preferred Skills + Experience:
• Proven ability to develop Machine Learning models and pipelines using Python and Spark
• Experience implementing Graphical Models and Bayesian Networks
• Experience with Azure Cloud platforms for big data and machine learning
• Experience working with clickstream data
• Excellent quantitative skills and the ability to tell a story using data
• Passionate about turning data into actionable insights
