The Professional division at Bose is looking for an experienced, drivenand versatile B2B pro audio technical product marketing professional to join our ambitious Global Marketing Team. We are growing rapidly as we approach the industry with bold, innovative professional audio solutions that solve real problems, allowing our customer-partners to truly accomplish more and grow their businesses. Market-facing communication of our installed sound solutions is critical to our success, as we inspire new buyers and appeal to our existing customer base as they match our solutions to their specific projects. To help us connect better with these audiences and drive demand, we’re seeking a Technical Product Marketing Specialist to support go-to-market programs and develop core content for customer-facing materials and experiences in the installed sound category.
Major responsibilities/tasks:
• Build go-to-market launch plans, aligned with high-level marketing strategy and input from Market Category Leads and Product Line Management
• Become the expert in your category through a complete understanding of customer needs/problems through market data and direct interactions. Gain a firm technical understanding of the Bose solution, design workflow and user cases, and how Bose solutions solve real customer problems
• Plan the launch of new products and releases, manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Support projects as primary content author and track completion through internal and external partner resources
• Craft clear, differentiated product positioning and naming with Market Category Lead
• Communicate the value proposition of the products through clear and impactful copy that resonates with industry press, buyers and influencers, and that appropriately encapsulates the Bose Brand Promise
• Create source content for all customer-facing assets, collateral and sales tools such as technical data sheets, brochures, sell sheets and online copy that supports new product launch, market vertical objectives and overall selling process
• Client and/or create content for presentations and demonstrations at global tradeshows and roadshows
• Partner with Product Line Management and Market Category Leaders to perform in-field research to create/inform buyer and user personas for your category
• Serve as product SME to support development of campaigns, rich media projects and marketing programs
Education/Experience:
• 5+ years experience in product management, product marketing, field/application engineering or related disciplines within the pro audio/video, broadcast, control or technology space
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Track record of building and executing successful launches, campaigns and go-to-market plans.
• Talent for story-telling with emphasis on value propositions, able to write copy that appropriately balances marketing and technical
• Creative-minded, can mock-up the development of sales tools, through outlines and layouts, can suggest creative concepts
• Demonstrated aptitude to continuous learning, able to come up to speed quickly on new technology concepts, stays in front of A/V industry trends and sentiment
• Ability to solve problems quickly and resourcefully, with excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Ability to work across business disciplines and functions, through influence, consensus-building and influencing, with particular focus on product marketing as part of concept development projects. Builds strong relationships across departments
• Attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
• Able to travel up to 15%
