The Sales Support Representative is responsible for being the single point of contact for sales representatives and customers, and will handle a variety of customer related issues. This includes estimating, order entry, outside mill services (vendor relations) and customer service functions to ensure customer retention and customer satisfaction.
Shift Available
• 1st shift; Monday - Friday
Responsibilities Include:
• Act as a dedicated (but not exclusive) CSR for all assigned account or assigned sales representative. Act as a back-up (by phone) to customers in the Sales Representative’s absence (territory coverage assistance) and partner with sales representative to meet and exceed customer's service expectations; Coordinate and assist in resolving all customer issues.
• Provide timely and accurate information to customers and sales representatives on all projects, quotes and order related issues whether produced in the plant or at an outside mill.
• Gather all relevant data required to create an estimate and utilize acquired knowledge of our estimating program and equipment capabilities to generate accurate estimates/quotes and recommend cost saving alternatives.
• Accurately compute price, discount, sales representative's commission, and shipping charges as required.
• Edit and enter orders into our computer system using comprehensive data analysis, accurate math and efficient typing skills.
• Anticipate internal and external customers’ needs whenever possible and respond quickly, accurately and professionally.
• Receive complaints (dissats) via phone from the Sales Representatives and customers as needed and forward to proper personnel.
• Assist Sales Representatives in understanding the details of our products, pricing, and processes.
• Assist in editing, entry and plant payables overflow during peak periods and/or as backup; Resolve any discrepancies.
• Work with the Mills (outside vendors) to acquire quotes, ensure timely and accurate order processing, expediting orders, and invoice acquisition, reconciliation and processing.
• Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in dealing with the personal and stylistic differences of customers, sales representatives and other departments within Curtis 1000.
• Complete daily and monthly reports as well as other administrative related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
• The minimum education required for this position is a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) plus 2 - 4 years of previous customer service experience. College Degree preferred. Label experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of labels and customer service such as estimating, order processing, order editing, outside vendor (mill) relations.
• Ability to learn and identify all of the basic components of a label including material types, material properties, printing methods, ink types, durability coatings, etc.
• Ability to acquire and utilize in-depth knowledge of company and mill partner products, capabilities and services as well as common industry requirements within our key markets.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Effective written communication skills. Ability to read, interpret and create short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence for a variety of audiences using proper English grammar.
• Effective math skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, mark-ups, discounts and other mathematical calculations.
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook plus accurate/ efficient keying and typing skills.
