Description:
We are looking for a Product Manager with a passion for TV & entertainment to join the team leading the product definition and successful delivery to strategic TiVo customers.
TiVo has partnered with major service providers in the US and internationally, that are on the leading edge of TV and entertainment technology, adopting the latest products, services and operating in new eco-systems. We’re looking for an individual with the right combination of talent to contribute to the continued success and the next phase of growth with these key customers.
Here is what you get to do:
• Engage with TiVo’s strategic customers to understand their market and competitive environment, business strategy and required solutions and define the strategy, features and roadmap for these customers
• Act as a lead relationship manager with strategic customers, advocating for and promoting growth in TiVo’s business, identifying new opportunities
• Lead product definition for strategic operator projects. Provide detailed requirements to engineering, develop Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and closely partner with the broader product management organization and program management to drive development activities. Ensure TiVo’s core development roadmap incorporates strategic customer requirements
• Manage ongoing business relationship. Negotiate new project Statements of Work along with engineering leads. Ensure TiVo consistently executes as expected and drive resolution of any issues escalated to the business team.
• Manage ongoing communication with key customer decision makers and organize regular executive business reviews
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
• At least 5 years’ experience in product marketing and or product management of technology products
• Track record negotiating new business relationships, customers projects and contracts
• Experience in the service provider industry, developing innovative solutions supporting an operator’s business imperatives
• Strong analytical and presentation skills - TiVo expects product managers to be able to prepare, present and defend business justifications to senior members of the executive team
• Strong Team Orientation - and a track record of working collaboratively with internal and external team members (engineers, user experience designers, customers, etc.) in a fast-paced environment to drive direction on product requirements and decisions
• Bachelor’s degree required (must have a technical undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate technical capabilities with job experience)
• MBA preferred, or representative experience of equal value
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20-25% of the time
