Job Description
Job Summary:Six Flags Human Resources employees are friendly, professional, and have a passion for assisting others. As the Human Resources Trainer, you will be responsible for assisting with the ongoing training of the Discovery Kingdom team. Your outgoing and engaging personality will be on display as you present interactive training updates and onboarding presentations. As the Seasonal Trainer, your positive attitude and creative communication skills will create strong relationships with new team members as they begin their Six Flags career.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver service-oriented training for all employees to enhance the Guest experience
Attend cross-department training to ensure an understanding of Department Service Expectations
Facilitate various Team Member training programs and activities in a fun and upbeat way
Interface frequently with department Trainers and Training Supervisors across parks to share best practices and maximize the effectiveness of the training programs
Conduct Guest Service Audits to evaluate team member and department delivery of the Guest experience
Support Human Resources in various tasks including events
Other duties as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
Training experience preferred-- developing programs and facilitating large groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to teach a group new concepts or processes
A successful candidate will be professional, energetic, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude
Proven ability to work efficiently both alone and in a team setting, with self-starting capabilities
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments
Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
Flexible schedule required including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to demonstrate effective written communication to include reports, tracking systems, file notes, e-mail correspondence, facsimile correspondence, and other required methods
Ability to maintain objectivity in times of pressure
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs with or without assistance.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel; Access experience preferred
Ability to handle documents, issues, and conversations with extreme confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are vital to success in this role
Proven ability be able to use independent judgment and effectively prioritize
Proven ability to positively communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
