Field Marketing Director - K-12 Education
The Marketing Director for Adoption Marketing Management, specializing in Adoption States, is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive execution of marketing campaign plans for assigned state adoption(s) helping to ensure maximum return on marketing investment and drive towards achievement of sales revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
• Leads state-of-the-state calls to ensure campaign expectations are met by facilitating product availability updates, submission requirements, sampling needs, marketing timeline, training, competition, and presentation development. She/he takes detailed notes and provides action items after each call.
• Understands and executes marketing plans using various marketing tools, process and vehicles such as Social Media, Mailers, and Sample Packs in collaboration with Sales Strategy Director counterpart in assigned region ensuring sales strategies, marketing strategies, and tactics are aligned and effective.
• Utilize and apply product management skills in the initiation, planning, execution, tracking and closure of state adoption campaigns.
• Support transfer of strategy to tactical and operational execution. She/he maintains an updated tactical plan and timeline within BOX.
• Build and maintain a solid relationship with Product Marketing, Product Management and Strategy, Sales, and the Agency to prioritize projects and make recommendations with the intent of building greater understanding of needs or meeting deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming state submissions to anticipate demands, project resource needs, and prioritize work.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitoring the overall schedules to ensure deadlines are met by effectively managing collaboration across HMH internal teams.
• Conduct post mortem on campaigns to determine ROI and recommend course correction on future projects.
• Ensure consistency and integrity behind company brand guidelines, including style and usage.
• Maintain knowledge of existing national collateral and offer advice for usage/modification for state adoptions.
• Develop and maintain proficiency in the internal tools and applications utilized by HMH.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business or education
• Minimum 4+ years education publishing industry, project management or related experience
Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge and experience working with Acrobat Pro DC
• Understanding of and experience with implementing a variety of web and social media channels for marketing purposes
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs and SAP
• Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills
Physical Requirements
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
