Associate, Production - PRH Audio
The Penguin Random House Digital Publishing Division seeks a Production Associate to manage package printing, large print book production, and CD replication.
This position will work closely with the Senior Production Manager on the creation of large print trade paperback books, taking book files through the process from composition and converting to large print specs, to cover printing, to printing and binding. This job will also be responsible for overseeing retail and library product package printing, cd replication and assembly, and finished product delivery for cd audiobook editions.
The core responsibilities for this position include:
• Vendor assignments for projects
• Trafficking materials to printers, compositors, replicators, and accounts
• Weekly status updates with vendors
• Creation, maintenance, and distribution of production schedules
• Management of generic component inventory
• Creation of purchase orders for vendors
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in either book publishing or print production
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently on tight schedules
• Extremely detail oriented
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to react rapidly to changing circumstances
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
