GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain fixed asset and inventory modules within Oracle Financials. Manage and approve journal entries, transactions, reporting, and analysis of fixed assets and inventory. Position will require a strong emphasis on protecting company assets. Provide and recommend process improvements to improve asset control while reducing costs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage processes and reconciliation of fixed asset additions and transfers.
• Manage and approve calculations and journal entries for fixed asset disposals, sales and retirements.
• Analyze periodical flux of depreciation / amortization / interest expense.
• Manage and provide quarterly and year-end fixed asset audit schedules.
• Work with accounts payable and purchasing to trouble shoot problems.
• Provide quarterly fixed asset schedules and backup to financial reporting and tax department.
• Oversee and approve journal entries for the write-down / write-off of obsolete inventory.
• On an annual basis, coordinate and manage company-wide physical inventory.
• Manage inventory controls, reporting, and transactions of 3rd party warehouse facility.
• Provide recommendations for control and process improvements within all warehouse facilities.
• Expand, manage and maintain minimum / maximum ordering processes.
• Analyze and manage cycle counting results, processes and software.
• Manage and assist with the automation of inventory transactions.
• Provide and manage KPI results to improve inventory control while reducing costs.
• Assist management with special projects as needed.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• 4-year accounting degree required.
• 3 – 5 years experience with fixed assets and inventory control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Experience with Oracle Financials a plus.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
• Some travel related to audits is required (5%).
