Key responsibilities
The main purpose of the Metadata Manager role is to develop and maintain cyclical IFEC program plans and GUI content for each Airline Customer identifying work scope, schedules, milestones, and internal and external team member responsibilities to ensure the integrity of GEE’s deliverables. By doing so the role will involve the need to facilitate any meetings, actions, tools or development and help resolve any issues that will ensure GEE maintain good service delivery, continue to improve and work as efficiently as possible between all the metadata departments and any other departments. They should monitor timelines for guidance, overseeing these across the end to end process and step in where necessary to ensure quality, on time and accurate delivery of metadata.
More specifically, the person will be required to:
• Facilitate and chair weekly/ regular meetings with:
◦ Local Metadata Team
◦ Closely monitor key milestones using timelines and maintain calendar of deadline; ensure the team are keeping up to date with tasks
◦ Work on standardization of job roles and functions, roll out tiered structure for staff
◦ Facilitate any process or admin changes such as grids with relevant departments
◦ Continuous improvement of metadata workflows and processes to assist with the information flow into the metadata team to all relevant departments and hubs
◦ Manage the workload of the metadata teams to ensure deadlines are met including capacity and resource planning for new business / entries into service (EIS)
◦ Support the metadata team with any day to day issues, top-level QC, or problem resolution within various software / systems
◦ Support the operations team with the onboard implementation of new content cycles/systems.
◦ Continue to develop and maintain good working relationships with all OEMs and ensure 100% on-time and quality delivery to clients is maintained
◦ Delivery of KPI metrics showing team performance and identifying key issues on a monthly basis
◦ Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficiencies
Qualifications
◦ 3-5 years management experience or similar applicable experience preferred
Excellent documentation skills
Clear comprehension of the IFE supply chain and key stakeholders
Extreme versatility, adaptability and ability to function in high-paced environments
