As an Executive Assistant at Pearson, you support our Senior Vice President, Global Business and Technology Services (GBTS), facilitating an array of operational and administrative tasks at a global scale. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest short-term and long-term priorities of the SVP and broader Technology organization. Key to this role is being organized and analytical, while using strong business judgment and communication skills to interact with a variety of people. Executive Assistants are true business partners, tightly linked to our SVP, the leadership team & the operations of the executive organization from an EA perspective
Responsibilities
Office of the SVP, GBTS
• Ensure time is leveraged most effectively and ensure alignment across direct reports.
• Attend meetings, understand context, capture major takeaways and drive followup actions.
• Attend management meetings, distribute minutes and drives completion of actions
• Coordinate logistics of virtual and in-person engagement events including meetings, town halls, conferences, seminar and other on/off-site events.
Project Management
• Familiarize oneself with project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
• Work with SLT CTO on Staff Engagement
• Support bespoke programs across global organization
Corporate Communication Management
• Develop draft communications and/or research in support of these
• Compile dashboard/decks for leadership meetings and additional off site training
• Contribute to communications strategy with Communications Manager in drafting/proofreading online publications, posts and presentations
Administration
• Manage calendar including meetings with substantial variety and complexity
• Manage in a matrixed form direct report Executive Assistant team
• Proactively identify issues that could impact the successful execution of business objectives/commitments
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant direct C-level support experience.
• Background in a global large scale corporate environment.
• Experience serving as a project lead from conception to completion.
• Nexus of event planning. Orchestrate preparedness of executive & team level meetings
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions.
• Adept at typical technology and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies; Interest and experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency.
• Expectation of complete confidentiality on all business matters.
