Position Overview
The Senior Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing will report to the Sr. Director – Tax Planning and be a member of a worldwide finance team that strives to be best-in-class. The successful candidate will join a best in class tax group to gain an understanding of how public policy, corporate goals and business transformations, and tax intersect at a dynamic, public software company. How governments seek to tax multinational corporations is undergoing one of the largest public policy shifts in decades. From the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting project organized by the OECD to the possibility of US corporate tax reform, the Autodesk tax team is constantly adapting and evolving to new government rules and regulations. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team to assist in reviewing, thinking, and planning around new global developments in tax.
We are seeking a candidate who will help drive a culture of accountability and excitement within the tax team. The Sr. Tax Manager will be responsible for fostering a creative, innovative team environment in which Autodesk's worldwide tax compliance and planning are completed.
Responsibilities
• Review new transfer pricing legislation across the globe and understand the potential impact to the Company
• Develop transfer pricing controversy strategy and provide audit support for transfer pricing issues including analyzing local financials, identify/anticipate areas of weakness based on functional/risk analysis, and assist with preparation of audit-ready files
• Work with internal and external groups to drive the completion of transfer pricing documentation for all applicable countries
• Review and model potential changes in global income tax laws to understand impact to the Company
• Drive the legal entity forecasting process working with regional and corporate finance teams
• Assist in driving tax digitalization of the transfer pricing function
• Ensure that Company SOX procedures are followed and documented for purposes of annual and interim reporting
• Assist in thinking about future planning opportunities involving transfer pricing and the Company’s operating profile
• Draft and review intercompany agreements
Minimum Qualifications
• 8+ minimum years experience
• Degree(s) Preferred: Master's degree in Economics or Juris Doctorate
• Thorough knowledge of corporate tax including international tax research, compliance and consulting
• Considerable knowledge of performing market studies and industry research
• Proven ability to performing financial / economic analyses and building financial valuation models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and overall abilities to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
