Position at Taylor Communications Inc.
Taylor Communications is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Hutchins Texas location. Qualified candidate will monitor and adhere to production schedule. Focus to be on safety, efficiency, low-cost production, and the production of quality product that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations in a timely manner.
Shift Available
• Sunday night – Friday morning
• 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Responsibilities Include:
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Supervise and develop production personnel to achieve high standards relative to productivity, efficiency, low-cost production, and quality
• Adhere to the production schedule by completing jobs on or before the scheduled due date
• Ensure that all orders are produced according to customer expectations
• Implement good team-building processes to maintain good morale, communication, and constancy of company agendas
• Maintain good organization and housekeeping throughout the production area to streamline workflow and create a safe work environment
• Train new and current employees on departmental procedures and practices and equipment operation
• Delegate tasks to team members on an as needed basis
• Complete all production and quality reports
• Ensure the sign off approvals on all product produced meet the production needs
• Provide frequent updates to Production Manager regarding issues and problems in the department as well as provide ideas for potential solution
• Assist in the ISO Quality Management System and audits
• Conduct visual checks of machinery and escalate any problems to leadership and maintenance
• Understand and comply with all departmental policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead change efforts
• Ability and willingness to hold self and direct reports accountable for meeting performance expectations
• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to lift and or move 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or manufacturing relevant education
