Description:
Entercom is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our rapidly growing Radio.com team to build the next generation radio & audio experiences. This role will be responsible for designing and building audio and content products that bring experiences to life and push the worlds of media, audio and radio forward. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and expert in user interface / user experience design with a solid portfolio of work across web, mobile, and app interfaces. You will be passionate about the intersection of design and technology and strive to explore new meaningful interactions between the physical and digital worlds.
Responsibilities
● Apply a user centric approach to design problems.
● Collaborate with senior designers, product management and our engineering team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, and help visualize ideas and features
● Determine architecture of our apps with introduction of new features, as well as newly released components of existing features
● Create wireframes, interaction models, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
● Follow best practices through design and build that demonstrate an understanding of digital and media principles
● Help develop and refine UI pattern libraries and interaction guidelines
● Use qualitative and quantitative user research, interviews, usability testing, and other research methods to inform design decisions
● Provide design quality assurance on creative deliverables
Qualifications:
● 2+ Years of professional work experience in UI/UX related positions.
● A strong portfolio that demonstrates previous work samples.
● A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative UX product design process, including how to develop and use job stories, journey mapping, content modeling, wireframing and prototyping, usability testing, and low fidelity to high fidelity visuals
● Strong command of typography, layout, form, and color.
● Proficiency with the latest design tools and software (Adobe CS, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin)
● Working knowledge of coding for prototyping purposes (HTML, CSS)
● Comfort in having technical conversations with managers and developers directly
● Understanding of media KPIs to translate into efficient and quality digital experiences
● Data-driven mindset and ability to create user personas and test scenarios
● Excellent sense of typography, image, and visual hierarchy
● Experience with designing for emerging technologies and connected devices is a plus
● Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field
