JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fox Network Center in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Media Services Specialist-Level 2 to join their team. The Specialist position is responsible for performing a variety of Media Services functions, duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Prepping and ingesting of on-air content
• Reviewing all content prior to air for adherence to FOX and industry standards
• Data entry of content tracking information
• Verifying/identifying missing content
• Retrieving and shelving of physical tapes
• Scheduling/recording of broadcast feeds
Qualifications:
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency although a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Radio/TV or commensurate work experience is preferred
• 4 or more years in television environment with utilization of electronic content management systems is ideal
• Experience performing technical tasks using the Harris Media and Air Clients, Evertz Routers, and K-2 App Centers is highly desirable
• Ability to perform time calculations in order to detect time and date discrepancies as well as the ability to make standard to military time conversions across time zones are all necessary
• Ability to multitask, coordinate projects, meet deadlines and make quick decisions while managing a high volume of work with a focus on detail is required
• Troubleshooting skills with ability to compile, calculate and report data for tracking purposes is essential
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required – the ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful
• Ability to work flexible hours and to work overtime as requested are necessary
• The ability to adapt quickly to new circumstances in different environments is necessary
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and SharePoint along with intermediate to advanced math skills are must haves
