Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Budget creation, maintenance and reporting on budget status
• Deadline and timeline management for all operational aspects around events
• Onsite and offsite event planning, management, and execution
• Collaboration with managers/team leads for all event components (program, presenting company recruitment, partnering, marketing, etc.)
• Venue and vendor selection, site visits as needed
• RFP (request for proposal) process management, in collaboration with the Procurement department
• Floor plan development
• Food and beverage planning and management
• Hotel room block management
• Event signage - identify needs, oversee development, creation, and placement
• Various other operations-related tasks
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required; Emphasis in Business or Hospitality and Events preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years event experience in a similar role, CMP a plus
• Passion for planning and organizing event logistics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Efficient time management and multi-tasking ability
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team-positive, team-focused approach is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite or InDesign a plus
• Experience working in an office environment
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
• Current passport and ability to travel 10-15% of the year, both domestically as well as internationally
