This position is responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day implementation of A/B and multivariate testing on Showtime’s marketing website with the goals of fueling acquisition and retention efforts. The role is also responsible for reporting on testing campaign results – and translating those results into actionable learnings that can improve and optimize the consumer experience. This position will utilize web analytics, testing and optimization to drive decision-making about how content and information is organized and presented on the company’s marketing website.
This position reports to the Vice President, Digital Media & Marketing Operations, and works closely with the design, development and analytics teams within Digital Media. Additionally, the temp will collaborate and consult as needed with other groups at Showtime, such as subscription marketing, merchandising, and research.
Responsibilities of this role include:
• Ideate, design and analyze multivariate and A/B tests with clear hypotheses
• Execute existing testing roadmap from setup of tests to communication of results
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify, define, size, and prioritize strategic tests for digital marketing optimization
• Utilize web analytics tools such as Omniture to develop quantitative and qualitative analyses to help guide editorial decision making
• Generate actionable insights for marketing site editorial and UX improvements
• Communicate insights and recommendations to business partners and leaders within Showtime
• Help to foster a “Test and Learn” culture
• Interact with all levels of the organization across teams and titles
Qualifications:
• This is a 4 month assignment filling in for someone on leave from June-Sept. 2018 (roughly)
• Significant experience in multivariate and A/B testing protocols and campaigns, preferably on Optimizely platform
• Strong knowledge of Web analytics (i.e. Adobe Analytics)
• Ability to distill complex digital concepts into clear, concise business approaches
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication with the ability to exhibit strong executive presence and collaborative/interpersonal skills
• Proven record of building relationships and influence broadly across the organization
• Ability to be a “change agent” by evaluating, analyzing, and implementing necessary changes; brings different perspectives to situations
• Ability to problem solve issues with experimentation setup and execution
• Demonstrates strategic thought leadership and can convey success and organizational growth via business decisions
• Experience that demonstrates a track record of success with managing detail-oriented projects and working with both business and creative people is preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Able to create and present executive ready presentations in Power Point
• Able to develop and create fully realized quantitative analyses in Excel
• Strong understanding of technical workings of websites and social media platforms
