Campaign Marketing Director - K-12 Education
Additional Locations: This position is Homebased preferably in the Dallas Fort Worth area, but can live anywhere in the US.
HMH is looking for a Marketing Director specializing in Campaigns.This role is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and executing campaigns to support HMH revenue objectives within assigned product vertical. The Director collaborates with Field Sales Marketing (FSM) team members, sales teams and strategists in specific states or territories, as well as Product Marketing and Product Management and Strategy (PM&S) partners to ensure HMH programs and services are positioned appropriately to meet regional sales objectives, customer markets, and trends.
Primary Responsibilities
• Create strategy-based state, regional and local marketing campaign plans for assigned product vertical to ensure maximum return on marketing investment and drive towards achievement of sales revenue.
• Develop plans and drive execution of strategic marketing across multiple channels to meet sales objectives, including digital and print collateral, social media, web presence and activities, email and inside sales plans, specialized proposals, prospect events, presentations, etc.
• Prioritize and execute customized content for strategic campaigns to increase revenue and supplement national marketing activities.
• Analyze how programs are positioned nationally and develop targeted messaging and solutions based on revenue potential and customer needs.
• Internalize educational trends and initiatives in order to create campaigns and tailor messaging that is on point, pedagogically sound and strategically meaningful to the customer.
• Strengthen our position in targeted accounts by leveraging competitive differentiators in campaigns.
• Collaborate with internal team, product marketing, funding experts, sales teams, and consultants to align solutions with targeted sales objectives.
• Conduct post mortem on campaigns to determine ROI and recommend course correction on future projects.
• Support internal team in accomplishing the tasks associated with executing strategic campaigns.
• Ensure consistency and integrity behind company brand guidelines, including style and usage.
• Maintain knowledge of existing national collateral and offer advice for usage/modification for initiatives.
• Assist the department in meeting the timetable of executable activities for all campaigns being deployed to meet revenue objectives.
• Develop and maintain proficiency in the internal tools and applications utilized by HMH.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing or education
• 3+ years education publishing industry experience, including state-adoption & open territory
Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge of education landscape and funding
• Knowledge and experience working with Acrobat Pro DC
• Understanding of and experience with implementing a variety of web and social media channels for marketing purposes
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs
• Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills
Other Requirements
• Travel 20% - 30%
Physical Requirements
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
