The Position
The Bose Wellness Division is looking for an accomplished engineering and organizational professional to lead the successful definition and development of a wellness HW/SW product platform and its products. This platform and its products will enable an evolving variety of cloud-connected products to securely deliver a delightful and ever-improving set of defined and yet-to-be-defined wellness customer experiences with efficacies grounded in science. This key position will require proven technical, leadership, and management skills in the highly- competitive high-volume consumer electronics space. Extensive experience in cloud-connected HW/SW ecosystems development will be essential.
This position includes:
• Reporting to the head of the Wellness Division.
• Managing a team of more than 80 engineers located at multiple sites.
• Responsibility for the technical success of multiple simultaneous complex products and platforms.
• Leadership of the architectural options/priorities/tradeoffs of product platforms enabling cloud-connected-hardware products.
• Being a leader within the ecosystem to provide both consistent and evolving customer experiences delivered through and across a variety of cloud-connected devices, both mobile and fixed. At least 15 years of product development experience.
• Managing the roles and capabilities of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to deliver envisioned experiences.
• Developing and leading both strategic and tactical technical efforts.
• Identifying needs, recruiting, growing and retaining top technical talent. Mentoring, coaching and developing multiple engineering teams diverse in level of experience and technical discipline.
• Focusing on both technical and operational aspects of the business.
• Providing operational leadership across the organization.
• Understanding and orchestrating system engineering, software, machine learning, mechanical design, UX, ID, electronics, acoustics, RF, signal processing, and manufacturing.
• Interfacing and collaborating with Joint Development Manufacturers and Contract Manufacturers (domestically and in Asia) to achieve cost, schedule and design efficiencies and flexibility.
• Coordinating program activities between industrial design, user experience, engineering, design assurance, quality, regulatory, reliability, testing, and documentation.

Grit: You are a go-to person who can be counted on at crunch time.
Education:
Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, advanced degree preferred.
