The International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) is looking for a motivated and dedicated person who is looking for a career in helping to build and further develop an International Non-Government Organization (INGO) of excellence and world impact for the discipline of Interior Architecture/Design. The Creative Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating programs, activities, people and day-to-day responsibilities.
The successful candidate is required to be well-organized, detail-oriented and to have excellent people skills. He / she must enjoy team work and be willing to participate in all aspects of IFI and project development. They must enjoy global design affairs; have an interest in design policy/advocacy for the built environment and meeting people from across the world. Since its relocation to NYC, IFI operates on a small staff, so this opportunity is especially suited for a hands-on self-starter who enjoys developing initiatives and wishes to engage with an organization with exceptional growth and expansion possibilities.
Position Responsibilities
• Work with IFI Secretariat team to plan, execute and direct all initiatives, programs and activities
• Structure conceptual thinking into deliverable outcomes
• Develop, manage and implement sponsorships, endorsement and related requests
• Develop and implement appropriate marketing strategies for programs
• Coordinate schedules, logistics and activities related to creative projects
• Develop and coordinate specific projects on an as needed basis
• Maintain and update the creative projects Website and Social Media sites
• Maintain creative project files and the organisation of information - electronically and in hard copy

• Exceptional people and communication skill
• The ability to strengthen company brand and enhance global brand awareness
• Previous experience coordinating high profile programs and events (desired)
• Programs/Event publicity coordination experience
• Ability for self-direction and work advancement if, and when, needed
• Administrative experience
• Experience developing and implementing appropriate procedures, protocols, record-keeping and documentation
• Experience with cross-cultural staff and/or volunteer teams and/or boards (desired)
• Experience within the design or creative sectors (desired)
Other considerations
• Excellent English
• Strong writing and computer skills are a must. Knowledge of appropriate digital and database programs as well as more common management, media and presentation software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage and complete projects in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to conceptually and tangibly offer strategic ideas and solutions
• Ability to successfully juggle multiple tasks and maintain flexibility
• Experience with sponsorships
• Have the availability to travel internationally as may be required
