Forbes’ largest event, the Under 30 Summit, convenes 7,000+ young leaders in Boston for the world’s largest greatest gathering of entrepreneurs and game changers—comprising four days of motivating panels, pitch contests, philanthropy, music and food festivals, parties and beyond. The event leverages unique access to the world’s most influential leaders, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, and artists—uniting these global forces to harness their collective knowledge, address today’s critical issues and discover innovative solutions.
In 2018 we’re taking the event to the next level and are looking for a leader to help us identify the best of the best to join us in Boston. This person will manage a small team who will be responsible for growing our attendee base, managing social media campaigns geared at lead generation, and executing a comprehensive sales pipeline. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to work with a leading media organization on their flagship event.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a small sales development team, curating attendee list for our Under 30 event this fall.
• Establish, maintain and grow lead generation pipelines via email database and social channels with particular focus on Facebook marketing.
• Develop a dynamic social campaign that achieves and exceeds targets as the sales cycle matures.
• Ensure weekly meeting and sales targets are hit.
• Conduct partnership meetings.
• Manage the CRM pipeline from lead generation through post-sale status.
• Manage and report on day to day tracking of sales targets for the team.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years business development or lead generation experience partnering with small to medium sized companies.
• Proven success in new business acquisition/development strategies.
• Exceptional problem solving, planning, time-management and communication skills.
• Ability to understand the long-term “big picture” and short-term perspectives of situations.
• Naturally persuasive and can influence with little effort. You love coming up with creative and valuable ideas and solutions.
• Strong individual contributor, who takes direction with ease and works well as part of a larger, close-knit team.
• In depth knowledge of technology trends and emerging industries and startups.
• Proven success with social advertising and fine-tuning CPA targets across campaigns to maximize return on ad spend.
• In depth knowledge of a CRM (preferably Salesforce) and marketing automation software (preferably Marketo).
• Skilled at lead generation (e.g. Linkedin Sales Navigator, acquiring email lists, mass target identification).
