Account Supervisor - DTC, Consumer Pharmaceutical Advertising
Description
GREY is seeking an inspiring, insightful, industrious Account Supervisor to join an integrated team serving a national-level, high profile pharmaceutical client. GREY's responsibilities for this brand include: DTC, HCP Hispanic and Digital communications. Although the role is specific to HCP, success requires an understanding of the non-HCP work and collaboration with those responsible for that work in order to mirror the client's approach to brand-building.
Responsibilities include being a:
• BUSINESS EXPERT The AS must become an expert in the client's business in order to develop the foundation that informs recommendations;
• STRATEGIC THINKER The AS must be an active participant in research design, analysis, and strategic development, supporting and learning from agency strategic planners, client research managers and outside suppliers;
• CREATIVE DRIVER The AS must develop and defend a point of view in order to encourage effective, hard-working creative for our the brand … and for the agency's own reputation;
• INTEGRATED EVANGELIST The AS must be an effective collaborator not only with the HCP team but also with the broader agency- and client-based brand teams;
• CHANGE AGENT The AS must embrace shifting circumstances and use those as opportunities to improve the agency's offerings and the clients' processes;
• MENTOR/MENTEE The AS must have an eye on preparing junior staffers for their next roles while working with the AD to overtake that role.
Specific Assignments:
The AS is the bridge between designing the future of the brand and the daily blocking-and-tackling. Responsibilities include:
• Leading the day-to-day management of specific projects as well as overall account management including:
◦ Running internal and external meetings and ensuring agreements are met;
◦ Ensuring that projects meet client-, agency- and regulatory requirements;
◦ Managing budgets and timelines effectively.
◦ Owning TV production;
◦ Providing light, but meaningful, supervision of multiple AE-led print projects;
◦ Participating in strategic initiatives with the objective of developing expertise;
◦ Managing, guiding and training one AE and one AAE;
◦ Supporting and learning from VP-Account Director;
◦ Fostering productive relationships with other partners who serve the client but may not be part of GREY or WPP groups.
Qualifications
• Expertise: 5+ years of experience including recent pharma/DTC assignments
• Experience with TV and Print production
• Leadership: Manage internal account team, creatives and multi-functional agency teams
• Diplomacy with Urgency: Demonstrate patience with clients while "keeping the trains running"
• Flexibility: Remain calm and focused within a dynamic environment
