We are seeking a Senior Billing Manager to join our Finance team in NYC.
The Senior Billing Manager is responsible for supervising the billing team in the day-to-day administration of the global billing functions to deliver excellent support for internal and external customers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of invoices, new accounts, credits, and customer data maintenance. The role includes providing leadership and training to staff as needed, ensure deadlines are met, and serve as a technical resource for staff. The individual needs to possess strong knowledge of all aspects of the billing function and process. This position is a key liaison between Customer Service, Finance and Sales.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and streamline billing process, for multiple currencies and entities, both domestic and foreign.
• Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
• Implement auditing and follow up procedures where necessary
• Manage hiring, training and development of billing team to ensure the efficient operation of the function and ensure company policies and procedures are followed. Provide feedback, conduct performance reviews and take corrective action when needed.
• Problem solve and deal with customer issues.
• Trouble shoot computer software when needed.
• Develop and conduct periodic and regular billing performance and compliance audits.
• Develop and complete monthly report with key billing metrics. Complete other reports as needed.
• Actively communicate with Sales, Customer Service, FP&A and other staff on billing issues and areas for improvement.
• Enforce all company’s initiatives in standardization of new policies and procedures and ensuring they are being followed correctly
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration preferred, but not required
• Must possess at least 2 years+ management experience
• Knowledge of the advertising industry a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and motivation skills.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence others.
• Must possess strong computer skills and Microsoft skills, especially Excel
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Zendesk and Intacct software platforms a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify alternate solutions and implement recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team, resolve conflict, create meaningful goals for each associate and to provide the guidance to achieve these goals.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others
• Must possess a professional attitude and be a team player
