Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of exciting next generation gaming software products. Work with other team members in a fast-paced iterative development environment, integrating new and innovative game mechanics and technologies into our game platforms. This position requires creativity, initiative and passion.
Position Requirements
Essential Job Functions;
• Assist in the development of games and applications to prototype new game platform features
• Assist in the engineering of new code, and work with/enhance an existing code base
• Develop an understanding of how to integrate 3rd party APIs
• Develop the ability to write clear, well-commented code
• Develop an understanding of solid-coding techniques and the ability to manage the overall integrity of a code-base including portability, extensibility and testability
• Learn how to verify that completed code performs as expected and that features are fully implemented and tested
• Conform to coding standards
• Game testing and bug documentation and fixing
• Support set up management of EGM’s game builds, and version control
Qualifications: Must be 21+ years of age
Education: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Experience with Microsoft Office software
• Fluency in C++ or Java
• Fluency in C#
• Experience with a scripting language, such as Javascript or similar
• Experience with game programming using Flash ActionScript
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming techniques
• Experience with Unity Game Development a plus
Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, and to operate standard office equipment. Vision is necessary to read printed materials and a computer screen. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds, to carry materials to external meetings, lap tops, projectors, etc. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
