Lifeguards are responsible first and foremost for the safety of guests visiting the Water Park. Prevention is the key to safety, and lifeguards provide a safe environment by enforcing general park and safety rules. Lifeguards work in the sun and shade, both in and out of the water, exceeding the highest standards of safety. Lifeguards interact with guests on a daily basis and must uphold a high level of customer satisfaction.
Being water orientated and a good swimmer are required, in addition to the ability to stand for long periods of time with exposure to sunlight and extreme temperatures. Lifeguard candidates must have a vision of 20/25 in the best eye, corrected or uncorrected. Eye correction must be worn at all times while on duty.
You must also maintain clean workstations and have reliable transportation. No experience is necessary however, all applicants must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program before becoming a lifeguard at one of our park locations. Lifeguard candidates will be required obtain the Ellis Lifeguard Certification instructional handbook and pass all Ellis Certification requirements.
