Job Description
WWL-TV is seeking a part-time, entry-level researcher to work in its award-winning newsroom. Researchers assist journalists in the production of news, sports and weather content and will be assigned tasks to contribute to WWL-TV’s news coverage on all platforms. Duties include responding to viewer calls and emails and assisting with research for staff members in the production of news stories.
Job Requirements
• A Bachelor's degree with journalism/communications as a major or minor field of study or currently enrolled as a student in a college or university with journalism/communications as a major or minor field of study
• Good news judgment
• Competent writing skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline environment
Must be available for night and weekend shifts as needed
