Forge Marketing Manager

Position Overview
Our Forge Marketing Manager will coordinate, negotiate, develop and support the execution of the division’s annual marketing plan for all geographies as a member of worldwide marketing programs management team. This role will create the marketing plan to communicate target market segments, program assets, goals and tactics and launch plan ensuring all departments are prepared for the release for new Forge services or series of services. In additiona, this role will work closely with corporate marketing and supporting agencies in the development of collateral and web sites.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with and support the GTM and dev teams team in the development of product sales tools and marketing materials, including standard product/solution presentations and scripts that can be used by the sales team in a typical sales process
• Manage marketing communications with internal and external stakeholders
• Measure and assess programs, collateral and web effectiveness
• Create messaging from positioning documents for Forge services and capabilities
• Critical core competencies that will be required to succeed at this role include:
◦ Building collaborative relationships with team across Autodesk, but also outside of Autodesk (for example, with certified SI partners, and with customers building proofs of concept)
◦ Engaging and inspiring others in the larger “virtual team”, and this includes individuals more senior than the candidate
◦ Fostering open communications. The candidate must be able to take feedback, to give feedback, and to have a difficult conversation when it is time to have one. The ability to address harsh truths is important to success
◦ Influencing others. Diverging points of view, and nascent points of view, mean this individual must be able to “sell the concept” or idea to others to gain alignment
◦ Using insightful judgment. Mature judgment is critical to making the right decisions and working in a large team
Minimum Qualifications
• 4-year college degree. Technical exposure in college (eg CS courses, engineering coursework) is a plus. MBA a plus
• Strong demonstrated experience in leading a product marketing team, including responsibility for branding, events, demand generation, references, Marketing / CRM systems (eg Marketo, SFDC)
• Demonstrated excellence in communications skills (in particular written communications) is required. Experience with customer and partner references
• Demonstrated budget management experience
• Demonstrated leadership in the launch of a new or evolved products, preferably a software product.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years work experience, preferably in a medium-large but growing SW firm
• Experience with design software/software marketed and sold to technical audiences
• Knowledge of Construction and Manufacturing industries
• Selling to or marketing to developers and IT departments
• Experience in both the SaaS world as well as with software platforms
• Projects or living experience outside of the US
