Job Description
The IS Technician is responsible for the support of computer, telecommunications and Point of Sale hardware and software within the resort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform daily system status checks on UPS, servers, firewalls, and switches; report any issues to IS Manager, Supervisor or appropriate support group.
• Assist in the administration of a Windows 2008 environment.
• Insure all incoming phone calls are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair computer, telephone and Point of Sale hardware.
• Install hardware and software on networked and standalone PCs.
• Document all end user help desk calls in the Six Flags help desk system.
• Assist in the administration of phone switch and voice mail systems.
• Follow department and company standard operating procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by IS Manager or Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be detail oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter.
• Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work with little supervision.
• Ability to learn and support new applications.
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of common operating systems, hardware and software preferred.
• Some College Preferred.
Other Functions:All other duties assigned or necessary to support the resort as a whole.
