Sales Associate, Digital Ad Sales
Sony Pictures Television – Digital Networks is looking for a Sales Associate in the NYC office, who will report to the VP, Digital Media Sales - EAST. The Sales Associate is expected to work with the Director, Senior Account Executives and Account Executives in the New York office to translate approved ad sales strategies and goals into sales programs for assigned accounts & agencies.
Additional responsibilities include adjusting presentations and selling approaches based on client or agency interests and needs, participating in developing the sales strategies and sales plans for assigned accounts, competitive awareness and analysis. The Sales Associate will also support the Sales staff in presentations to present and prospective clients. Cultivating and maintaining successful long-term relationships with decision-makers at agency and/or client level is important in this role while also actively participating in industry and professional organizations.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree required
• 1-3 years media or entertainment experience in sales or client marketing
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written
• Ability to work independently within a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Understanding of business relationships between media, client and agency
• Proven ability to support account executives to achieve goals
• Aptitude to identify proactive sales opportunities based on client/agency conversations, information obtained in press and/or programs that the organization is launching
• Ability to think outside of the box when necessary to help create compelling solutions based on clients target audience, objectives, and budget
• Experience in mobile, gaming, and/or social media a plus
• Microsoft Office expertise, including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
• Knowledge of advertising buying models
• Familiarity with online ad systems, including 3rd party ad servers (Sizmek, Freewheel, Innovid, Brightline, etc.)
• Knowledge of terminology and mechanics of online & video advertising, including DSPs, SSPs
• Ability to learn new technical systems
• Ability to identify/communicate improvements to systems/processes
• Knowledge of media and marketing research tools
