Instagram seeks an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to lead its global monetization communications program. The successful candidate has strong experience in strategic communications, developing and executing high-profile initiatives, and has led a team.
This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Responsibilities
• Develop communications strategies for Instagram’s monetization products and programs
• Interface and consult regularly with cross-functional teams across the company, including FB and Instagram
• Educate businesses, consumers, creators, media, bloggers, analysts and influencers about Instagram’s business and strategy
• Protect and enhance the reputation of Instagram and its products in core business and advertising markets
• Support and manage the creation of communications materials and go to market strategy
• Work closely with PR agency partners for product launches, industry events and programs
• Prepare briefing materials and coach spokespeople
• Work closely with global communications team to drive overall communications strategy, narrative and support country specific initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in English, Communications or related field
• 10+ years of experience in public relations
• Experience with Fortune 500 or Ad Age 100 companies
• Experience working in Internet, technology and/or advertising PR industries
• Experience working with leadership to achieve communications goals
• Experience in managing internal teams, PR agencies, contractors
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working at an agency and in-house
• Proven track record creating and executing successful communications programs for high profile brands
• Experience landing narratives and programs beyond traditional media set
• Experience shaping and growing teams
