U.S. News & World Report is seeking a full-time paid intern for its Publications division, which produces its consumer print guides and the content for its live conference events. This one-year internship in our Washington, D.C. office is ideal for recent college graduates interested in journalism, particularly on the health and education fronts. The intern will assist the editors with reporting and analysis necessary to develop insightful conference topics and speakers, as well as help with related event tasks. In addition, the intern will contribute to various publications by researching, proofreading, reporting, and writing.
Desired qualifications:
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A strong attention to detail
• A deadline-oriented focus and proficiency at handling several tasks simultaneously
• Journalism/communications degree or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work a 37.5 hour week for at least one year
• Experience at a college newspaper/website or other news organization
