Overview
We are currently seeking a Sales Support Assistant that reports to the Associate Director, International Sales and Asia Sales Manager. This position supports the sales, publicity, and marketing efforts for HarperCollins English-language books across Asia, including China, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, and Korea.
Responsibilities
• Provides administrative assistance to the Asia Sales Manager, including running sales reports, creating territory reviews and working on special projects
• Oversees Asia customer mailings, ordering galleys and maintaining customer database
• Prepares materials for sales trips and book fairs including VLOOKUP’s of order forms, creating presentations, running business reports, printing and shipping of all sales materials, and ordering sample books and supplies as needed
• Works with Asia Sales Manager to respond to customer requests for title information, covers, samples and general inquiries
• Provides sales support for China office, including sending all materials and reports as needed
• Coordinates with Inventory and Production on reprint requests from China office, including processing drop ship orders
• Works with Sales Operations Manager on creation of Special Projects Presentation/Order Form
• Creates and updates Seasonal Open Market Highlights Order Forms/Presentations
• Updates Export Editions order form/presentation, sends announcements for new editions, and maintains Export Editions library.
• Works independently and acts as out of office contact when Asia Sales Manager is on sales trips
Qualifications
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Ability to effectively work with all levels of management including executives
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
