Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Fitness Professional is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest. They will be responsible for exceeding guest expectations through positive interactive skills.
*Responsible for maintaining the Wynn & Forbes standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
*Knows and adheres to Wynn and department policies and procedures, embraces company and department culture and takes pride in the resort and amenities.
*Understands and well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
*Maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude while embracing the Wynn Resorts core values and promises, along with the spa culture and values.
*Ensures the Wynn standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas.
*Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards.
*Awareness of guest experience at all times, smiles and makes eye contact, communicates professionally.
*Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction while anticipating their needs.
*Empowered to assist in guest recovery situations to ensure a flawless execution of guest service and communicates with leadership team as needed.
*Accurately assist guests with fitness and individual/ group class check-in and ensure proper facility orientation is communicated.
*Helps ensure fitness facility is only accessed by resort or spa guests by verifying guest access.
*Effectively communicates with peers and leadership team and ensures all pertinent information is shared.
*Looks for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
*Solution oriented, avoiding conflict and gossip, stays on task and promotes teamwork.
*Readily available to schedule and train personal training and group classes.
*Is punctual in retrieving and ending services and classes on time.
*Is knowledgeable on industry trends, classes offered and has the ability to self-market personal trainings to maintain sales while following Forbes standards.
*To be vigilant with exercise techniques, ensuring safe usage of all equipment and fitness area while offering assistance as needed.
*Consistently circulating area to ensure the cleanliness of the fitness center in its entirety and replenish and restock amenities per department guidelines. This includes but not limited to: reading materials, fruit, water, headsets, and clean towels along with collecting soiled linens promptly to maintain fitness facility.
*Prepare fitness food and beverages in compliance with all SNHD and property food handlers’ requirements.
*Daily report and maintain inventory of spa linen and products as well as assist with monthly inventory.
*Ensure all maintenance and equipment challenges are reported in a timely fashion to spa leadership team.
*Actively assists in class schedule development and participates in product demos.
*Attends required meetings and/or training classes and incorporates new knowledge gained into daily work practices.
Job Requirements:
*Must be 18 years of age or older.
*Must maintain an active Personal Training Certification.
*Must possess a current Nevada Food Handler’s Card.
*Must be CPR certified.
*A minimum of two years personal training experience in a demanding high volume fitness center is preferred.
*Must possess outstanding customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
*Must be solution oriented and the ability to work well under pressure.
*Must possess strong knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology and anatomy.
*Full understanding of all exercise equipment and proper operations.
*Knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation.
*Ability to instruct and teach individuals and/or group classes.
*Candidate must be able to work efficiently within a team environment and individually.
*Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
*Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approaching guests and coworkers.
*Must be open to coaching and feedback to ensure growth and development.
*Must possess excellent communication skills.
*Candidate must be well groomed and professional.
*Must be able to communicate English with guests, management, and other employees to their understanding. Additional foreign language a plus.
*Must be available to work all shifts and days including opening and closing shifts.
*Will be required to adjust schedule based on business demands.
*Willingness to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
*Combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school (High school diploma) or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
