Description
Forbes.com is seeking a UI/UX Product Designer who will work with the Creative Director in developing and maintaining the visual design for Forbes.com. This individual will need to be able to translate business requirements and stakeholder needs into designs that are visually exciting and easy to use. This designer should have excellent conceptual and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with product owners, designers, editors and developers.
Responsibilities include:
• Design editorial products, websites, emails, and other online promotions.
• Take products from inception to completion, with a very strong attention to detail and quality.
• Interpret design direction and implement it on the product level.
• Work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Have the ability to work under tight deadlines, pressure, and on multiple projects at once.
• Work with creative team to archive projects to produce and file digital assets/organize accordingly.
• The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter with a demonstrated passion for digital design and storytelling on a personal and professional level.
Ideal candidate will possess:
• 3-5 years digital design and front end development experience
• Strong abilities with Sketch, Adobe CS and prototyping tools
• Experience with capabilities and limitations of web technologies including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication, organizational, verbal, and written skills.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images, and interactivity impact product design.
