GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assist Room Attendants with duties and to provide prompt and efficient hotel hallway cleaning services to meet business needs and Eldorado standards.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)
• Greets and interacts with Hotel guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Promptly and efficiently collects dirty laundry, glassware, and garbage from Room Attendant carts continuously throughout assigned shift.
• Thoroughly stocks supply rooms with clean linen, amenities, glassware, chemicals, and other products to maintain hotel rooms efficiently.
• Inventories, inspects, and logs daily linen arrival from linen company distributor.
• Logs all defective linen for credit from linen company distributor.
• Thoroughly vacuums and shampoos hallway carpet.
• Thoroughly wipes down soda and ice machines, phones, mirrors, pictures, ashtrays, and furniture in hallways and floor lobbies.
• Sweeps, mops, and waxes elevator rooms, hallways and supply rooms.
• Stocks Room Attendant’s cart with disinfectant water to clean hotel bathrooms.
• Utilizes the Eldorado’s phone system.
• Operate elevators, laundry carts, and linen chutes continuously throughout assigned shift.
• Monitor and report on the condition of work areas to promote for a safe environment for employees and guests.
• Answer questions, offer assistance as required and generally function as a departmental personnel.
• Observe and approach guests to determine service needs and follow up as appropriate.
• Efficiently cleans and rotates mattresses for hotel rooms.
• Replaces clean draperies for hotel rooms.
• Thoroughly washes walls, doors, lamp fixtures, etc. in hotel hallways.
• Retrieves furniture and T.V.’s in hotel rooms for repairs.
• Reports lost and found items to shift supervisor.
• Reports all maintenance problems to shift supervisor and follows through accordingly to procedures.
• Retrieve dirty glassware from Room Attendant’s cart and deliver to dish rooms.
• Inventories and disperses linen for other departments (i.e. catering, room service, etc.)
• Replaces light bulbs in hotel hallways.
• Cleans and repairs shampooers, vacuum cleaners, and edging machines.
• Fills chemical bottles.
• Disinfects mops.
Requirements:
GUEST SERVICE STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet the following Service Standards:
Greet each guest while in the hallway or elevators.
Listen carefully to Guests’ requests, repeat back to guests to ensure accuracy of request.
Lead or connect the Guest to someone who can help them if you are not the right person/department to handle their specific request.
Have your work radio turned to an appropriate level for the area, be mindful of guests and always have your radio at a low level.
Conclude each encounter with a guest with “My Pleasure”.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Extensive training program provided by department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: High School or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Will Train.
Certificate/License: Must have permit to work in the U.S.
