Associate Manager - Cause Marketing & Partnerships

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a project leader and a passion for community outreach efforts. This position calls for someone who is a strategic thinker and who has exceptional communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop, plan and execute KARE 11’s community events and station community campaigns with the goal of increasing community support and enhancing KARE’s brand awareness.
• Manage KARE 11’s Strategic Community Partnerships
• Manage internal communications, with all station departments, to ensure the successful execution of community campaigns
• Lead meetings with community partners and sponsors
• Manage corporate foundation funds and community grant making process
• Manage employee volunteer efforts with station sponsored community campaigns
• Write and distribute digital posts, news scripts and press releases pertaining to station events, news, talent and staff
• Oversee the development of collateral materials (on-air, digital, print, etc.) associated with the station’s sponsorship of community events and projects
• Effectively utilize KARE 11’s strong digital and social media platforms to promote community events/sponsorships
• Lead Station Tours and onboard new staff
• Advocate for community partnerships across all departments within KARE 11 and support News department as connection to community resources
• Represent the station on community boards and committees where appropriate and as needed
• Negotiate and execute partner agreements that insure KARE 11 is well represented
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 plus years in Community Relations, Cause Marketing or the equivalent
• Strong writing and communication skills and grammatical proficiency
• Excellent time management/project skills
• Comfortable and confident in making effective decisions in a timely manner
• Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
• Ability to communicate results to team and management and to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the broadcast media field is highly desired.
• A self-starter able to work independently, leading and managing multiple projects
• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
