Sales Support is part of the Operations function in the Global Sales organization at Bose, responsible for the preparation, planning, and executing of sales activities.
•The Lean Process Specialist has a passion for taking the everyday work of the Sales Support organization and identifying better ways to get the work done through process standardization, waste elimination, and creative problem solving. While working with others on the improvements and solutions, s/he will help to teach the organization to be lean thinkers and problem solvers themselves, enabling greater innovation and efficiency throughout the team.•Requires cross-functional collaboration and facilitation. Much of the work will require the ability to work across different groups, personalities, working styles, and opinions. The Lean Process Specialist should act as the voice of the customer ensuring the vision and mission of the work is always front and center. Ability to influence in all directions (up, down, and sideways) through the organization is critically important for this role. •The Lean Process Specialist should possess a bias for action and delivering results through the application of lean tools and innovative problem solving. This role requires someone willing to not accept the current state at face value but rather a true problem solver passionately dissatisfied with the status quo.•Ability to know your audience and the task at hand and operate at the appropriate flight levels, both at the detailed level as well as the 10,000 foot view.•Background in Supply Chain (Planning) and Order Management to Customer Fulfillment is critical for this role’s success.•Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or equivalent demonstrated knowledge) is required; Black Belt (or equivalent) is preferred.
Additional job description:•Some international travel (up to 10%) may be required to “go to the gemba” and understand the current state as well as enable change management activities•As this role supports a global organization, availability to speak/meet with colleagues around the world during different parts of the day is one of the working norms.
