Job Description
Position Summary:
Six Flags America is seeking an out-of-the-box, creative thinker with an enthusiastic attitude to join the Corporate Alliances team. This person will be expected to position the Six Flags Media Networks platform to the local advertising community as a place based, non-traditional marketing platform. Also responsible for the sale and execution of strategic marketing and sponsorship programs via the Six Flags Media Networks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify prospects and close new local sponsorships programs for Six Flags America.
• Create customized partnership programs using the Six Flags Media Networks assets -- TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Online, Experiential and Event Sponsorship.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plan for key categories.
• Work with the Corporate Alliances Account Services Team to assist with program coordination e.g. onsite activation, signage placement, fulfillment reports, compliance photos, client visits, etc.
• Assist the Sponsorship Coordinator to execute and fulfill all local partnerships from inception through the recap.
• Supervise the execution and fulfillment of national and multi-park program commitments at Six Flags America.
• Maintain daily communication with the Corporate Alliances team and Director of Marketing to ensure understanding and support for all client partnership initiatives.
• Manage Sponsorship Coordinator and Brand Ambassadors ensuring 100% compliance with all programs.
• Perform periodic evaluations of Sponsorship Coordinator and seasonal staff.
• Create and submit required reports to leadership team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Park leadership.
Reporting Structure:
• Reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
Minimum Requirements:
• College Degree in Marketing, Management or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of Sales experience in Sponsorships, Advertising, Media, Sports or Promotions.
• At least 4 years of theme park experience or similar is preferred.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong financial skills for budgeting purposes & the ability to analyze statistical information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to Fortune 500/Corporate clients, Advertising Agencies, Park management and operating divisions.
• Understanding of various disciplines of Marketing and Media.
• Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude.
• Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client meetings and counterpart trainings.
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel frequently throughout full shift and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
