GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for prompt stocking of all food items on the lines, salad bars, and pastry areas. Requires specific presentation of food on lines and good guest service skills
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(Includes, but is not limited to the following.)
• Follow direction from Chefs and Lead Lines;
• Assist and support co-workers;
• Maintain all food to specified standards;
• Maintain food warmers, cold boxes and general cleanliness in all areas;
• Clean and stock items as needed;
• Maintain proper uniform and name tag at all times;
• Regular, predictable attendance;
• Other job related duties as may be assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively in English; follow established company policies and procedures and follow instructions, Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.Must possess knowledge of use, cleaning and breakdown of equipment.Must maintain a high level of sanitation and safety and a consistent work speed under normal conditions.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: 10th grade education or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required.
Certificate/License: None
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may be performed in small areas having a 2-ft. access. Work entails various conditions of noise levels, temperature, illumination, air quality, fumes/odors, use of solvents/oils, crowding, balance and handling of sharp, hot and moving objects, slippery surfaces. Long hours with overtime sometimes required. Work requires knowledge and use of chemicals, and flame/heat generated devices. Constant contact with culinary staff and other departments.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position).Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps).Requires mobility to include seldom reaching overhead and bending over from floor to 6 ft.; occasional balancing, pushing/pulling, transporting and maneuvering of carts weighing up to 400 lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying 51-75 lbs, repetitive use of both hands with firm and light grasping and finger dexterity; requires a normal sense of smell, taste, touch, hearing, and near/far vision acuity with depth perception and absence of color blindness; the ability to distinguish letters and symbols, perform simple tasks including simple reading, writing and math skills.
