Additional Locations: Position is located in Portsmouth NH but recruiting should extend to southern Maine and northern Massachusetts.
Heinemann is seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist. This position is responsible for supporting various marketing teams to implement campaigns and to provide financial/budget support for marketing department.
Primary Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Specialist includes the following responsibilities:
• Managing marketing campaign tactics and related processes/workflows including scheduling and tacking costs for various campaigns.
• Tracking invoices, creating purchase orders, coding invoices and getting correct signatures for approval turned into accounts payable on a weekly basis.
• Manage a process for creating customer lists for campaigns and partnering with Sales to identify customers as potential customers
• Support marketing teams including, but not limited to in-person and virtual events, direct marketing, emarketing, collateral printing and management, and supporting team members as needed with projects.
• Collaborate with Sales and the rest of their Field Marketing colleagues in distribution of marketing materials and drop shipments to the field
• Maintain and manage inventory of marketing materials and collaborating with Directors of Marketing with regards to reprints or corrections/updates of various collateral.
• Coordinates and oversees project production, print specifications, and delivery dates to ensure timelines are met.
• Collaborates with designers in order to manage project quality and meet specifications.
• Anticipates and communicates project risks and issues, and manages daily aspects of project delivery. Delivers regular progress updates on marketing projects and activities.
• Attains price quotes for outsourced printing and production supplies to offer economical solutions without jeopardizing quality.
• Maintains relationships with suppliers, as well as interviewing and qualifying new vendors.
• As appropriate collaborate with colleagues facilitate the creation of folders, binders, and other deliverables to support marketing campaigns.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years experience managing marketing campaigns or providing marketing support.
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Understand marketing and digital marketing strategy and tools coupled with strong data management and analytical skills.
• Understanding of profiling and demographics of separate customer personas.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Able to present complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
• This position may require occasional business travel.
• Position may include sitting and working at at a computer for long periods of time.
• Sense of humor, ability to remain calm under pressure, and remain flexible in a variety of problem solving situations.
• Commitment to education and a respect for the teaching profession.
Physical Requirements
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
