In the Studio Tools Department, we are responsible for developing and maintaining software for the studio, including Pixar’s in-house animation software, Presto. We are enthusiastic about software application engineering best practices, and we collaborate in cross-functional teams of passionate developers to create software that enables our film production and continuously extends artistic reach.
The Project Coordinator provides administrative support to the project managers and engineers, with a primary focus on ensuring schedules and project plans are accurate and up-to-date.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a partnership with the Project Manager and provide backup coverage as needed
• Maintain detailed project schedules, track changes, and make necessary updates in the database
• Manage the schedules of key personnel, schedule meetings as requested, and maintain the calendar with alertness to topics, deadlines, and conflicts
• Responsible for meeting notes and following up on any resulting action items
• Proactively respond to information and assistance requests from both within and outside of the department
• Work with leadership to maintain a positive team environment, plan events, and advocate good morale
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-3 years of related work experience that demonstrates good organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and timely follow-through
• Adaptable with the ability to prioritize evolving tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication
• Positive ‘can do' attitude while maintaining a high level of professionalism
• Experience working with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Able to work collaboratively or autonomously as necessary
• Proficiency in Mac is preferred and Linux experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of database management software is a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
• Basic understanding of programming, software engineering, or CG filmmaking is helpful
• Experience in a software development environment or with similar projects is helpful
