Description
David Kordansky Gallery is seeking a highly motivated, extremely organized, personable, and detail-oriented person who wants to be part of a rapidly growing, internationally renowned contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles. The Gallery Administrator role is a full-time position, five days per week, and requires flexibility for additional hours based on the needs of the Gallery.
Responsibilities
- Greet gallery visitors, answer gallery phones, and facilitate client visits with staff
- Maintain general tidiness of the gallery and monitor supply levels
- Run errands and arrange gifts on behalf of gallery staff, as needed
- Track American Express transactions for all staff, reconciling all expenses, and investigating missing or unaccounted transactions
- Process and collect credit card payments to vendors, as directed
- Reconcile employee expense reports, mileage and reimbursements
- Assist with maintaining ArtBase records with up-to-date client and artist information
- Manage event guest lists and invitations; monitor RSVPs
Qualifications
- At 1 year of experience in an art world setting, preferably in a gallery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of ArtBase preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and responsible
- Able to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Bachelor’s or four-year degree
