Job Description
TEGNA Media is breaking the mold for how media companies operate. Recently named Station Group of the Year by Broadcasting and Cable, we have committed vast resources to transform our company through various initiatives including the launch of our new “Over-the-Top” advertising services business, Premion. Premion (www.premionmedia.com) is leading the way at the local and regional level with advertisers and connecting them to premium, long form episodic content from over 100 network partners including Sling, Discovery, Fox, ESPN, Turner, TubiTV, Scripps and more.
The Opportunity
Premion is hiring a Director of Publisher Developmentthat will take a leadership position in establishing and building our publishing strategy by initiating, growing, and maintaining relationships with key content providers. As part of the role, the Director will be working with the product and technology team to identify, develop, and implement new product opportunities with our content partners.
This position will report to the President of Premion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Take a leadership role in developing an overall publishing strategy for Premion by identifying consumer viewing trends for content and devices.
• Regularly map the Premion content offering to consumer trends and habits.
• Initiate and develop new content partnerships that build Premion’s content offering.
• Periodically present Premion’s publishing strategy, plans and opportunities to Premion and TEGNA leadership teams.
• Manage key relationships with the goal of being a strong partner to help them build their business and manage their revenue growth and related P&Ls.
• Work directly with content partners to understand their business and product and technology objectives and develop unique partnerships that build lasting relationships with strong revenue growth.
• Partner with Director of Product and Technology and the Madhive product teams to launch the Premion DMP and other products.
• Identify new product and service opportunities that can be developed or acquired by Premion / TEGNA.
• Participate industry events, including panels, to further establish Premion as a thought leader in the industry.
• Periodically attend key agency meeting to explain and present publishing, product and data strategies
Job Requirements
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master degree preferred but not required.
• 5-7 years in television, streaming video or related entertainment.
• Prior business development and/or client relations experience
• Ability to handle multiple initiatives and effectively solve problems
• Exceptional organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mac and PC proficient especially for presentation and proposal development
• Exceptional reputation and professional ethos
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
