Senior Analyst, Credit & Collections - SPT Networks
Sony Pictures Television (SPT), is a full-service producer and distributor of television programs for broadcast and cable networks and digital streaming networks.
The Senior Analyst is primarily responsible for timely collection of open accounts receivable balances, resolution of disputed items and preparation of management reports inclusive of weekly monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts, long range plans and budgets for billing and receivables.
Responsibilities:
• Review and maintain the monthly Network accounts receivable reports, aging, cash receipts, cash on account and various other reports as they relate to billings and collections of network/cable/digital and other markets as relate to amounts invoiced and collected. Identify receivables subject to audit; Analysis of cash receipts against respective forecast.
• Review accounts receivable monthly summary reports and reconcile monthly aging along with allowance for doubtful accounts and other reserves to ensure appropriateness
• Help resolve cash application issues.
• Follow-up with network contacts on a frequent basis to ensure prompt collection of receivables and obtain updated payment status.
• Coordinate requests from network contacts of information needed from SPT to ensure prompt payment by customers.
• Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual forecast, long range plans and budget variance reports for finance.
• Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Corporate Submission
• Prepare quarterly bad debt reserve analyses.
• Interface with Business Affairs on any open or unresolved issues.
• Prepare and analyze billings for development and maintain Termination Agreement lists for Legal Department for resolution and execution
• Research billings and collections as requested by Legal, Business Affairs or Finance.
Requirements:
Experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
• Entertainment industry and knowledge of television production
Skills
• Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently and proactively take charge of accomplishing goals
• Professional demeanor and strong motivation to meet deadlines.
• Work schedule flexibility
• Excellent written as well as verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills.
