I. Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
The Local Sales Manager oversees, leads and motivates Account Executives to generate new advertisers and expand the revenue share of existing clients. This position utilizes all sales platforms to develop new business including broadcast television, digital and mobile media and strategically leads the team in growing transactional accounts.

35%- Attracts, motivates and retains highly qualified Account Executives.
25%-Plans, creates and manages systems contributing to a comprehensive and aggressive program for revenue growth. Consistently support Account Executives in new business development leveraging TV, digital and other platforms for the Station.
20%-Provides leadership to sales team for revenue, market share growth and new business development.
10%-Provides input into station’s strategic planning, marketing and sales budgets as requested.
10%-Prepares sales professional/creative presentations for management and clients.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree In Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Six to eight years local television sales or related experience. Previous management experience required with a proven track record of successfully managing a sales team. Experience in creating and executing a sales strategy that delivers total solutions to all customers.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must possess advanced knowledge of TV ratings and research.
Ability to communicate effective and persuasive sales presentations.
Understands how to communicate effectively and build strong internal and external relationships.
Has the creativity to develop targeted, customer focused marketing solutions using multiple media products including television, web, and mobile.
Has a proven track record of success in new business development.
Is a skilled negotiator and problem solver.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Is highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office products and ideally has experience with Wide Orbit and Matrix.
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, competitive, fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Travel Required (Approximate): 30%
