Content Marketing Strategist, Professional Information Business
The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing compelling content strategies and channel plans that align with business KPIs and contribute to lead nurture and conversion across all Dow Jones Professional Information Business units.
Responsibilities & Activities:
The Content Marketing Strategist will play a collaborative role with the marketing leads across our different business units to participate in content strategy, topic ideation, content development, recommend appropriate content formats, and identify strategic amplification opportunities to drive content-led lead generation and audience engagement.
• Leverage insights from product marketing and market specialists teams to develop an understanding of priority audience segments, resonant themes and Dow Jones’ correlating commercial offerings.
• Responsible for driving overall content development.
• Identify external thought leader influencers and specialized copywriters.
• Own content channel plans to optimize content appropriately.
• Work with marketing team members within the content workflow.
• Responsible for content plan to define process and to fill in content gaps and ensure content for all levels of The Buyer’s Journey.
• Work with content writers.
• Work within Contently to manage content calendar, contributors and content workflow.
• Responsible for content reporting.
• Track success of content programs, topics and formats, compile statistics and provide recommendations for future programs.
• Stay abreast of content marketing trends in order to follow—and transcend—content best practices, including content development resources and thought leader identification.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of relevant experience; B2B marketing experience preferred.
• Experience with content management workflow tools.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven experience developing successful content marketing strategies.
