The Autos team at U.S. News & World Report, which strives to help people make informed decisions when it comes to buying or leasing a car, is seeking a motivated, diligent, detail-oriented Research Intern to join our enthusiastic team of writers, editors, analysts, and product managers. This is a paid 1 year internship position based in our Washington, D.C. office.
The Research Intern will work closely with the Research Analysts on the Autos team to support and strengthen our vehicle rankings and awards, which form the backbone of the U.S. News Autos business. The primary responsibilities of the Research Intern will be to provide support to the Research team through analysis of data for rankings, awards, and slideshows, daily maintenance of our content management system, and research of available data for new initiatives.
This is a great opportunity to learn about digital media, get some hands-on experience with research, data analysis, consumer journalism, content management systems and the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and publish new car pages from the content management system
• Manage the collection and publication of vehicle images to the live site
• Gather and analyze data for awards
• Update and publish safety ratings for new vehicles
• Assist with fact-checking for awards, slideshows, and features
• Create and update tracking spreadsheets for various research projects
• Score new and used car research as needed
• Research and compile available data for new content and ranking initiatives
